A defined timeline encourages consistent progress, prevents overthinking, and helps ensure the essay remains one part of a balanced high school experience rather than taking over a student’s summer or senior year.

The Common App Experience can still be valuable if you’d like support refining your essay, strengthening your narrative, and receiving personalized guidance throughout the revision process.
